Kathie Sheeley

Kathie Sheeley has been teaching Suzuki Piano since 1999 and has trained with Dr. Haruko Kataoka, co-founder of the Suzuki Piano Method and colleague of Dr. Suzuki for over 40 years. In addition, she attends workshops every year to study with many Suzuki Piano master teachers including Dr. Kataoka's successors Keiko Kawamura and Keiko Ogiwara.Kathie has a strong background in early childhood music education as well as a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Piano degree from the University of California.

Kathie enjoys researching teaching methods, piano technique and repertoire and recordings of notable pianists with other piano teachers and is active in the Atlanta Area Suzuki Piano Association and has previously served on the Board of Directors.

Kathie's students enjoy performing at the quarterly recitals in her studio as well as at the Graduation Concerts held at Spivey Hall each year. Kathie and her students enjoy attending many of the local performances such as the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and other wonderful concerts.

Prospective students and their parents are invited to observe Kathie's teaching during her regular studio hours.
